She's here

Preakness winning filly Rachel Alexandra has arrived at Belmont Park for her attempt at yet another Grade I in the Mother Goose.

Scott Blasi, assistant trainer to Steve Asmussen, walks the filly off a van here.  Blasi handles many of Asmussen's top horses.  Most notably was his handling of Curlin both in North America and Dubai.  Blasi is a soft spoken type of fellow, but his skills as a horseman should be no less diminished.  This guy makes Asmussen look as good as he does.  It makes you wonder when and if he will go out on his own.

I'm in agreement on Blasi. He must have a good working relationship and income with Asmussen, because he's a guy I'd very much like to see out on his own.
